In its Lodge a 959 River Strand Loop, Heritage Harbour offers a fully equipped Woodshop. It is equipped with an extensive array of quality power tools and machines. Located in the lower level of the Lodge, it is open from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m., 7 days a week. For security and safety concerns it is locked, but any resident who is certified can access the key.
The Woodshop consists of two brightly lit rooms, the Main Shop and a Small Crafts Room, where users can sit and work at tables. It is important to note that the Main Shop has clearly marked controls to an alarm system that alerts the entire lodge in case users suffer an accident or sudden illness.
The Woodshop Committee meets on the first Monday of each month at 3:30 p.m. We discuss maintenance, improvements, education and other issues, so that the Shop will remain an outstanding asset to the community. All interested persons are invited to attend and participate.
