                  Quilting at Heritage Harbour

One of the activities at Heritage Harbour is the Quilting Bee. The Bee was started in the late 80’s as a place for quilters to meet, to enjoy the fellowship of other quilters, to work on their own projects and to help and inspire one another.

The members have made quilts in all sizes: lap robes, wall hangings, pillows, quillows or whatever sewing project strikes our fancy. Some are appliquéd or embroidered while others are pieces of material cut and sewn together to form pleasing patterns.

The Heritage Harbour Anniversary Quilt is a sample of our work. We all worked together to design and make it. The quilt is on display in the Lodge.

Anyone living in Heritage Harbour is welcome to join our group. You do not need to be an experienced quilter; the group will help you with your project. At present we are working on a “Block of the Month”. When we are finished all participants will have a “lap quilt” to snuggle in while watching TV.

We meet every Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Arts and Crafts room.

Images of some of these activities may be seen in the slideshow, below.
