                  Heritage Gardeners

Heritage Gardeners enjoy gardening fun and fellowship, garden tours, and educational programming. The group came together in March of 2008 with the goal of encouraging home landscape beautification, promoting the love of gardening, gaining horticultural knowledge, exchanging plant material, and sharing garden ideas, problems, and solutions with fellow gardeners in Heritage Harbour. We plan a variety of gardening activities, educational programs and garden tours which have attracted more than 70 different Heritage Harbour residents.

The Heritage Gardeners have made a great beginning towards achieving their initial goals and hope to continue their growth and development as a gardening group in the coming years.

Here is a list of some of our past garden tours:

  1. Tour of Homestead Gardens Production Greenhouse in February 2009
  2. The Daffodil Show in April 2009
  3. Tour of London Town Woodland Garden in April 2009
  4. Tour of Faith Bange’s Day Lily Garden in June 2009
  5. Tours of Heritage Harbour Gardens:
    • Karen and John Englar in September 2008
    • Marietta Doran in October 2008
    • Nancie Kennedy in September 2009.

If you enjoy gardening, consider attending our meetings. We are a loosely organized group, each contributing our knowledge and gardening skills, and there are no dues to pay. Our meeting date, time and place changes.  Call Martha Hollenbeck for more information or to have your name added to our e-mail distribution list or telephone tree.
