Come in and look around! Our merchandise changes frequently and seasonally! The slideshow below shows examples of Boutique products. Bring your friends and neighbors.
The Heritage Harbour Boutique has been a part of the Heritage Harbour community since 1982. The idea for the Boutique was conceived by a group of resident crafters as a convenient place for residents to shop for hard to find hand crafted gifts and as a way for resident artists and crafters to sell their work. The Boutique sells only items that are handmade by Heritage Harbour residents. Over 30 residents of Heritage Harbour currently consign crafts in the Boutique. Whether you are a woodworker, needle artist, potter, painter or crafter, please visit the Boutique for consigner information about our consignment policy and to consider selling your craft items.
Examples of handmade gifts offered in the Boutique are shown in the slideshow, below
The Boutique is located in the Lodge opposite the Arts and Craft Room, between the TV8 Studio and the Billiard Room. The hours of operation are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week, September through June, between 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM. The Boutique is also open on the last Saturday of the month from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
The volunteers who work in the Boutique form the Boutique Committee, which sets hours and policy. The Committee members work in two hour shifts several times a month. There are several committee members who do not consign crafts but enjoy working in the Boutique, meeting people in the community and the camaraderie of the Boutique committee members. The Boutique Committee is open for new members who would like to volunteer in the Boutique whether they consign crafts or not. Stop by the Boutique for more information!
Other than a year end luncheon for the volunteer staff, all profits from the Boutique are returned to the community through purchases and donations. Since 1982, the Boutique donated thousands of dollars to various committees and organizations to help make Heritage Harbour a great place to live. Organizations that need funds for a project that will benefit the Heritage Harbour community are encouraged to submit a written request to the Boutique Committee in care of its secretary, Betty Eger.
Each fall, the Boutique sells holiday nuts for baking and snacking, trail mix, granola, dried fruit and bridge mixes for the convenience of our residents. In addition, the Boutique sponsors the Heritage Harbour Holiday Bazaar in cooperation with the Woman’s Club of Annapolis at Heritage Harbour on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
The Boutique Committee meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 7 PM in the Arts & Crafts room. Come and join us! With the nonstop production of our consigners, the help of our volunteers and the patronage of our Heritage Harbour residents, the Boutique will continue to be a successful and vital part of the Heritage Harbour community!
